Jose’s Biography
 
J O S E   J U N C O - Dancer, Choreographer
 
Born in Madrid, Spain, Jose began studying Spanish dance at the age of 15. He completed the equivalent of three years of dance study at The Escuela Real de Arte Dramatico y Danza (Royal School of Dramatic Art and Dance). His professional debut was with the Ballet De Espana of Paco Romero. With the same company, he appeared in the film,"Don Juan Mi Querido Fantasma," directed by Antonio Mercero. In the 90's, Jose continued to expand his professional career as a dancer with the ballet companies of:
 
Alberto Portillo, Alberto Lorca, Carmen Cortes, Mariemma, Jose Granero y Rafael Aguilar. He has worked with the Greater Miami Opera in Miami, Florida performing the role of the lead bullfighter in the opera "La Traviata" and the lead dancer in the German Opera "Die Fliedermaus," obtaining critics acclaim for his performance. Also with the Rosita Segovia Ballet, Jose performed "El Amor Brujo," "La Vida Breve," and "El Bolero de Ravel." Jose has performed as a guest and lead dancer with the Ballet Flamenco La Rosa of Miami. His artistic collaborations include work with Los Del Rio, Rocio Jurado, Azucar Moreno, Los Romeros de la Puebla, Belmonte, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Ricky Martin, Olga Tanon, Lucia Mendez, and Lissette.
